I have moved forward with certain new goals that are unlike any that I have pursued before. I am now learning micro-farming, including Brussel sprouts, lavender, goat tending… I am going to try to learn how to manage each crop and make sure that the two acres of lavender doesn’t get wasted at the next harvest time. I would also love to learn how to harvest goat milk. Another goal is to fill the chicken coups with egg-makers. This is going to be a lot of fun, but also a lot of complicated schedule mixing. On top of running the website and getting involved with local ministries, I am continuing my university coursework and trying to earn an income as a freelance writer. Talk about a complicated schedule. I am now adding the Farmer’s Almanac to my read list, haha. I never thought I would actually be able to do this kind of farming, but I’m very excited. Check back to find new blogs about my experiences!
